Our Customers

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp [MFTBC] has been a customer of Jacobs since 1990, developing its engine retarders and introducing the first brakes for the 6D40 and 8M20 engines in 1991. In fact, MFTBC was Jacobs’ initial customer in Asia and provided Jacobs with an early understanding of the requirements of an Asian customer.

From the Models 864, 882, 883 and 875 for the 6D40, 8M20, 8M22 and 10M20 engines to the Model 720 for the new 6R10 engine, Jacobs has been the engine retarding supplier of choice for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp.

The Model 720 engine brake that was developed for Daimler’s new HDEP series of engines has proven to be a very powerful and reliable engine brake that complements this new engine line.

Genuine Jacobs service parts and replacement housings for MFTBC’s engines are available exclusively through MFTBC’s dealer organization.
